Located in French territory, the western side is almost entirely covered with ice and on these slopes the normal way of ascent develops.The climb does not present particular difficulties, with snow and ice, slopes of 30 ° degrees and some decidedly steeper sections. . In the final stretch a few meters of rock lead to the top. From the summit, the panorama on the Italian and French sides is breathtaking.

Program

  • Day 1
    The ascent takes place in one day, starting from Chamonix by cable car up to the Aiguille du Midì 3842 Mt. from here the crampons are put on and on the rope you go down the ridge to reach the hill of Midì. On easy slopes, gradually steeper with crevasses, in about 2: 30/3: 00 hours you reach the top. The descent is made by the same ascent route.
