Mont Blanc (Cosmiques) -Mont Blanc du Tacul-Mont Maudit- On August 13, 1863, R.W. Head, Adolphe Orset, Jean Marie Perrod with the guide of Courmayeur Julien Grange reached Mont Blanc from this side. The entirely glacial path is very beautiful and long, interesting for the variety of panoramas. From Col du Midì, you first cross the shoulder of Mont Blanc du Tacul 4150m. and then that of Mont Maudit 4300 mt. Cross the Brenva pass 4309 mt. and continue on the North ridge – East to the summit. It therefore requires many hours of stay at high altitude and therefore a good physical condition is necessary. It has now become the normal French route. More and more mountaineers, although it is more tiring, prefer it to the more dangerous route to the Gouter due to the objective dangers and poor hygienic conditions of the refuge.
