Fantastic descent surrounded by impressive mountains such as Mont Blanc du Tacul the Giant's Tooth, les Aiguille de Chamonix… unique descent of its kind because, no particular technical qualities are required on the skis, good control of the equipment is sufficient. The itinerary takes place on glaciers that from Punta Helbronner 3462 mt. crosses the border and with very gentle slopes, reach Chamonix in 21 Km. An exciting experience also suitable for families.
Program
- Day 1
The descent takes place during the day, departing from Courmayeur, by cable car from La Palud 1370 Mt. to Punta Hellbronner 3428 Mt. From here, put on your skis, cross the Flambeau pass and descend into French territory. The conditions can be very varied: after snowfalls it is necessary to juggle well in the fresh snow off-piste, however, after long periods without snowfalls the descent becomes much easier being traced and beaten to the end. In periods of low snow, when it is not possible to reach Chamonix on skis, once you reach the end of the Mèr de Glace, take the cable car up to the Montenvers station. From here you can take the cogwheel train to Chamonix. The return to Courmayeur usually takes place by bus or taxi.
