Surrounded by, Everest, Lothse and Cho Oyu, some of the highest mountains on earth, Ama Dablam is one of the most elegant mountains on the planet and the view of its west face, from the Panboche monastery, is truly breathtaking. The first ascent took place in 1961 by an expedition led by Sir Edmund Hillary who traveled the southwest ridge and described it as extraordinarily difficult. Today this itinerary is considered medium-difficult. Mountaineers who reach the summit for this itinerary can be proud because even this route, which is the easiest on the mountain, is still complex and demanding. A classic on mixed terrain; rock with difficulty up to V, sharp crests, and sections of snow and ice up to 50 ° 60 °.
The approach to Base Camp (5,200m.), Unlike the other Himalayan mountains, does not include glacier routes.
The fields at altitude will be 3.
