Circondata da, Everest, Lothse e Cho Oyu, alcune delle montagne più alte della terra l’Ama Dablam è una delle montagne più eleganti del pianeta e la vista della sua parete ovest, dal monastero di Panboche, è davvero mozzafiato. La prima salita avvenne nel 1961 da una spedizione guidata da Sir Edmund Hillary che percorse la cresta sud-ovest e, la descrisse come straordinariamente difficile. Oggi questo itinerario è considerato medio- difficile. Gli alpinisti che raggiungono la vetta per questo itinerario potranno essere orgogliosi perché persino questa via, che è la più facile della montagna, è comunque complessa ed impegnativa. Una classica su terreno misto; roccia con difficoltà fino al V, creste affilate, e tratti di neve e ghiaccio fino a 50° 60°.

Program

Day 1 Departure from Italy with Qatar flight.
Day 2 Arrival in Kathamndu, meeting with our. correspondent, transfer and hotel accommodation.
Day 3 Kathmandu. Preparation day.
Day 4 Flights Kathmandu – Lukla. Arrival and start of trekking for Phakding. Arrival and accommodation in the lodge.
Day 5 Trek phakding – Namche Bazaar. Arrival and accommodation in the lodge.
Day 6 Namche Bazaar. Sosta di acclimatamento a Namche.
Day 7 Trek Namche Bazaar – Tengboche. Arrival and accommodation in the lodge.
Day 8 Trek Tengboche-Pangboche. Arrival and accommodation in the lodge.
Day 9 Trek Pangboche – base camp Ama Dablam. Arrival and installation of the camp.
Day 10-22 Days dedicated to the ascent of Ama Dablam.
Day 23-24 Trek base camp-Lukla.
Day 25 Volo Lukla – Kathmandu. Arrival, transfer to the hotel. Day off.
Day 26 Kathmandu. In the evening boarding on the flight to Italy

High altitude Sherpa

The cost of a high altitude Sherpa for all 8,000 meters. corresponds to 2,400 US $. This fee includes personal equipment, salary, all base camp services and expenses for the Puja ceremony. Any tips are at the discretion and full charge of the shipment. (data updated to 1st July 2004)

Oxygen

You can have 3 or 4 liter cylinders. Prices range from US $ 250 to US $ 280 per cylinder.
The mask + regulator kit costs US $ 400 per piece.
